15.05.14 Presenting and Receiving Letters of Credence


His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam this afternoon consented to present Letter of Credence to Brunei Darussalam's newly-appointed High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and receive Letter of Credence from the newly-appointed High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.

His Majesty first consented to present Letter of Credence to Brunei Darussalam's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.

His Majesty then consented to receive Letter of Credence from the newly-appointed High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Retired Brigadier Muhammad Zareef Malik.

Following the ceremony, His Majesty then consented to receive in audience the newly appointed High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan. His Excellency, 47 years old, previously served as Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

His Majesty later granted an audience to the newly-appointed High Commissioner of The Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam. His Excellency Brigadier Retired Muhammad Zareef Malik who is 72 , previously served as Brigadier at the Ministry of Defence, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
